For developers

Editing, sharing and moving a site's source code is in the developer's hands.

If you want to edit the source code yourself with your own tools, ask us for access to the directory.

You get credentials and can edit the source code with your usual tools: branches, commits and code reviews work like in any other project.

How to get started

1. Ask for access

Email tuki@kotisivukamu.fi. Tell us which site it is and on whose behalf you are acting. We confirm it with the customer.

2. Clone and edit

You get credentials, and after that you work with your usual tools: branches, commits and code reviews work like in any other project.

3. Push, and it is live

A push to the main branch triggers an automatic deploy. The site is built and delivered to the CDN with no extra steps.

What the sites are built with

The sites are static Astro sites styled with Tailwind CSS. Pages are composed of ready-made sections and components that you can freely modify and extend with your own.

  • Astro and Tailwind CSS, with content mostly in page files and the content directory
  • Dependencies are installed with pnpm, and the dev server starts with pnpm dev
  • The result is a static site delivered from a CDN

Deploys are always built from the source. If something breaks, the last working version is one commit away.
