Microsoft Bookings on a Kotisivukamu site
Microsoft Bookings is the booking tool in Microsoft 365, used for example by accounting firms and other professional services that already have Microsoft email and calendars. Bookings show in staff Outlook calendars, and a Teams link can be added to the meeting.
How it works on Kotisivukamu
In Bookings you publish a booking page that has its own address. The site gets a button, for example Book a meeting, that opens the booking page in a new tab. The customer picks the service, the person and the time on Microsoft’s page, and the booking goes straight into the calendar. The site never handles bookings or customer data.
The booking page address is long and contains your organisation’s identifier, so it should always be copied, never typed. We recommend a button that opens the booking page in a new tab. The booking page can also be embedded on the site, but the experience is usually better when the customer books directly on Microsoft’s own page.
Bookings is a natural choice for an accounting firm or a consultant whose email and calendars are already in Microsoft 365, because bookings show up in the staff member’s Outlook calendar. Before asking, it is worth opening the booking page in a private browser window and checking that it opens without signing in.
Step by step
- Make sure in Bookings that the booking page is published and visible to people outside your organisation.
- Copy the booking page address from the Bookings settings and open it in a private browser window. If the page asks you to sign in, the visibility setting is still wrong.
- Give the address to Kamu and say where the button should appear.
- Check the preview on a phone and publish.
