Vello on a Kotisivukamu site
Vello is a Finnish booking and point of sale system used by hair salons, beauty salons, massage therapists and personal trainers, among others. Vello Pro also includes patient records and a Kanta connection for health care professionals. Every business has its own public booking page in Vello.
How it works on Kotisivukamu
We recommend adding Vello to the site as a button. The Book now button opens the Vello booking page in a new tab, and bookings show in your calendar as before. The booking page can also be embedded on the site, but the experience is usually better when the customer books directly on Vello’s own page. There can be several buttons, for example in the header, at the top of the front page and next to the services.
It is worth saying in one line next to the button that booking opens on Vello’s site, so the customer is not confused when the address changes. If you sell gift cards or series cards through Vello, they can get their own link too.
Step by step
- Find the booking page address in Vello’s admin under Options, Settings, Other settings. The address looks like vello.fi/your-business.
- Open the address in a browser and check that it shows your own booking page. Copy the address from the address bar.
- Give the address to Kamu and say where the button should go, for example at the top and at the end of every service.
- Check the preview on a phone and publish.
Vello: frequently asked questions
Can Vello’s booking view be embedded in the page?
Yes. Tell Kamu you want the booking view embedded on the page. Then check the preview on a phone that booking works smoothly.
What does Vello cost?
Vello has a free base tier and paid tiers, and card payments and text messages are charged separately. The prices have changed several times, so check the current ones on Vello’s own pages. Vello is not part of the Kotisivukamu price.
