Plausible on a Kotisivukamu site
Plausible is a cookie-free analytics service. It collects visitor numbers, sources and the most read pages without cookies, and the data sits on EU servers on every plan.
How it works on Kotisivukamu
Plausible is added to the page with its own script, which is given your site’s domain. Because Plausible uses no cookies, it needs no cookie banner and is not put behind consent. The script is small and barely slows the page.
Kotisivukamu’s own analytics does much the same and is already in the site. Plausible is worth adding if you already use it on your other sites and want all the numbers in one place, or if you need its own features such as shareable reports. Note that Plausible filters bots out while our own analytics shows them separately, so the numbers will not match exactly.
Step by step
- Add your site’s domain in Plausible.
- Ask Kamu to add the Plausible script to the site and tell it the domain the site is registered under in Plausible.
- Publish the change and open the site; the visit shows up in the Plausible dashboard.
Plausible: frequently asked questions
What does Plausible cost?
Plausible is a paid service whose price depends on traffic. In September 2026 the cheapest plan started at about 9 dollars a month. Check the current price on the service’s own pages.
Can Plausible and our own analytics run at the same time?
Yes. Our own analytics stays on regardless, and they do not interfere with each other.
Why do the numbers in Plausible and our own analytics differ?
They count differently. Plausible filters bots out and counts visitors its own way, while our analytics shows bots in their own section. Ad blockers can also block Plausible’s script in some browsers. It is worth comparing each number with itself over time rather than with each other.
