Airtable sits between a spreadsheet and a database: records can have images, choices and links to other tables. It is used for product catalogues, course calendars and staff lists, for example.

Airtable data shows on the site in the site’s own style. Records can become a list, such as a staff list, or each a page of its own, such as a course or a product. With an Airtable view you decide which records reach the site, so unfinished rows can stay hidden.
The connection needs an Airtable key with read access to that one base only. Give the key to Kamu in the chat or add it in the dashboard under Integraatiot > Lisää avain. The key is used only while the site is built and never shows on the site. The content is fetched from the service every time the site is published. If you like, Kamu can also refresh it automatically once a day. Give images as normal image addresses or add them to the site, because the service’s attachment links expire within hours.
Step by step
- Make a view in Airtable that holds only the records to publish.
- Create a personal access token in Airtable with the data.records:read scope and access to this base only.
- Give the key to Kamu or add it under Integraatiot > Lisää avain. Also share the base and table link and which fields to show.
- Check the preview and publish.

It can. An embed looks like Airtable, though, and is heavy on a phone. When the data is shown as the site’s own pages, it looks like the site and can be found in search engines too.

Airtable bills you directly, and the plan limits vary. Check them on the service’s own pages.
Does a change in Airtable show on the site straight away?
Not straight away. It shows the next time the site is published, or the next day if the automatic refresh is on. If the information must always be current, such as free places or stock levels, link to a service that shows it in real time.
