Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are the most common email services that give a business addresses on its own domain, such as firstname@company.fi. Kotisivukamu does not sell mailboxes; email stays in the service you choose.
How it works on Kotisivukamu
Microsoft and Google give your domain a few settings, known as records. They say where mail is delivered and who may send mail in your company’s name, and one of them confirms that the domain is yours. When the domain is with Kotisivukamu, the records are added in the dashboard, and the view tells you whether the settings for sending mail are in order. Mailboxes, calendars and passwords are still managed on the Microsoft or Google side.
If you transfer the domain to us, the existing records can be brought along so that email is not interrupted. If you only need an address without a mailbox, incoming mail can be forwarded to another inbox.
Step by step
- Set up Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and add your domain there.
- Copy the records the service gives you for verifying the domain and directing mail to the service.
- Add the records in the dashboard’s domain view, or ask support for help.
- Verify the domain in the service and check in the dashboard that the mail settings show as in order. Finally, send a test message from the new address.

Do the email settings cost extra?

What if the domain settings are managed elsewhere?
Then the records are added in the service where the domain settings are managed. The domain view warns you if its own records are not in use.
